These are complete, fully assembled wood fired ovens. Each oven comprises:
· A monocoque (single piece) high-density dome cast from high purity, performance refractory and incorporating an integrated tunnel and flue vent to the oven mouth.
· A self-contained oven floor, cooking / fire surface. The floor is contained in a high carbon steel base pan, which is internally insulated and filled with fine silica based mineral sands, to act as an efficient heat bank and ensure uniform heat distribution throughout the oven. The cooking surface comprises a level surface of dense, high alumina, dry pressed refractory tiles, laid on micromesh metal gauze and a layer of reinforcing refractory. Gas burner and temperature probe tubes are incorporated into every commercial oven floor to facilitate the easy incorporation or addition of a gas burner back up system, whether at the time of installation or as a retrofit.
·A fully integrated transition flue assembly, which can easily be fitted with Golden Embers optional damper systems or filter modules.
·A fully insulated protective outer shell which comprising several layers of zirconium and ceramic fibre insulating blankets, galvanised reinforcing mesh, vermiculite and pearlite based insulating castable, finished as a dome in a hard render coating.
Prefabricated base frame. Fabricated from structural steel angle, there is a base frame specifically designed to fix directly to the underside of every Golden Embers Oven. The base frame not only acts as the permanent support for the ovens, but is also designed so as to allow for easy installation and positioning, or relocation, of any oven by one or two persons using a standard pallet trolley.
Deluxe Trim Finish: This finish is offered for those clients who prefer to take delivery of a completely decorated and trimmed oven which is ready for immediate, operation upon installation, commissioning and connections. This option comprises, the fitting of a polished granite mantle to the oven tunnel mouth, tessellated tiles around the oven mouth opening, the fitting of a form ring to the base of the oven, a further coloured hard render coating finished as a perfect dome, as well as a complete starter tool-kit.
Stucco Base Surround: The stucco base surround is a complete 900mm high prefabricated surround for the wood fired oven. The surround is prefabricated at the factory and fits perfectly below the oven to deliver a completely finished oven and base with an under oven storage access opening. The prefabricated base is split into two sections, which are fixed to the oven and bolted together on site, to enable a rapid complete installation. The base is fabricated from either a rolled steel tube framework, clad in rolled cement-sheet or metal sheet, or from a rolled steel tube. Whichever material is utilised, the surround is finished in a render coating, which can be coloured or ready for painting or tiling.
Turret surround segments are prefabricated in the same way as the stucco base surround and are fitted onto the stucco base. The first segment includes an opening that surrounds the oven tunnel mouth and any subsequent segments are complete circles. Clients seeking to achieve a tube style oven use the stucco base surround with the turret segments to achieve an instant floor to ceiling tube that they can then paint tile or decorate to their specific requirements.
Boxed Base Surround: The boxed base surround is a complete 900mm high prefabricated square shaped surround for the wood fired oven. The surround is prefabricated at the factory and fits perfectly below the oven to deliver a completely finished oven and base with an under oven storage access opening. The prefabricated base is split into two sections that are fixed to the oven and bolted together on site, to enable a rapid complete installation. The base is fabricated from steel angle frame to which a cladding of cement-sheet is fixed. The quadrants between the dome and the frame corners are capped. The surround is finished in a render coating, which can be coloured or ready for painting or tiling.
Castle Surround Segments: These are fabricated and assembled in exactly the same manner as the stucco base and turret surrounds except that they are rectangular.
C-Shape Base Surround: This base surround is a complete 900mm high prefabricated surround for the wood fired oven where the front half of the surround is a semicircle which returns straight to the rear wall. The surround is prefabricated at the factory and fits perfectly below the oven to deliver a completely finished oven and base with an under oven storage access opening. The prefabricated base is split into two sections, which are fixed to the oven and bolted together on site, to enable a rapid complete installation. The base is fabricated from steel angle frame to which a cladding of cement-sheet is fixed. The rear quadrants between the dome and the frame corners are capped. The surround is finished in a render coating, which can be coloured or ready for painting or tiling.
Turning Frame Installation: Where the proposed installation site has restricted access, i.e.: does not have an opening or door wide enough for the oven to be installed whole, then Golden Embers ovens can be installed in a special turning frame. The turning frame enables the oven to be rotated onto its side so that it can be moved through standard doorways of 900mm width (800mm for the smaller ovens). The oven is shipped fitted inside the turning frame, complete with two customised jacks which enable it to be raised, rotated and then lowered onto a pallet trolley. Once in place the same jacks are used to rotate the oven back to the horizontal and to then raise it onto the base frame for final positioning. The turning frame and jacks are issued against a prepaid deposit and must be returned to our depot in good order, at which time the deposit will be refunded.
Complete: Fully assembled and trimmed and ready to be unloaded and positioned. In this format there is no additional work required on site and the oven is simply set down in position, connected to any services and extraction systems and ready to use. This is the simplest method (just like purchasing a grill or dishwasher) but does require that there be good clear access from the point of unloading to the final point of set down. To deliver and unload an oven in this format you will either require a forklift and pallet jack on site, or to arrange delivery by a truck with a 2 ton tailgate hydraulic loader and pallet jack. Shipping costs are normally higher due to the overall volume.
Semi Knock Down: The fully rimmed dome is packed on a pallet, with any base surround dismantled and packed around it, together with the knock down base frame. This mode reduces shipping volume and shipping costs but does require some assembly on site. Normally the whole unit is unloaded by forklift, then the frame is assembled. The oven is then lifted off the pallet by forklift and placed on the frame. Once on the frame a pallet trolley (or the forklift) is used to move it into position, where the base surround (if any) is then refitted to the oven.
Fully Knock Down: In this format the oven, dome and transition assemblies are shipped as components for assembly on site. This mode requires that a significant amount of work be done on site and is not recommended unless the site environment is extremely difficult.
Hidden Costs: There should be no hidden costs. We ship a complete finished product in whatever format is ordered. The only additional costs would be Flue supply and fitting, gas supply and certification, installation and additional trims outside of what is ordered from Golden Embers.
